This online Fall Protection course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to help minimize fall hazards and protect yourself and others from serious injury.

Upon successful completion, you should be able to:

  • Explain the importance of fall protection

  • Identify fall protection systems and components

  • Complete fall protection calculations

  • Explain fall protection planning and procedures

Alberta legislation was used extensively in the development of this course as Alberta has some of the most rigorous legislative standards in Canada. CSA, ANSI, CEN, and industry standards were also used. This course focuses on the safety of individuals working in the field.

Course Duration: 180 Minutes

Pass Mark

Testing conducted throughout this online Fall Protection: Alberta Edition Safety course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved. Supplemental materials necessary to complete this course can be accessed online.

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing. The certificate is valid for 3 years from the course completion date indicated on the certificate.

Universally Compatible

This course was created using standards that will allow playback on most internet capable devices with standard web browsing capabilities including Apple’s iTouch, iPad, and iPhone, as well as most other smart phones and tablets including those with Android and Windows operating systems.
